Used in conjunction with a fire alarm to automatically close or open a roller shutter in the event of a fire. Normal roller shutter operation is controlled by a key or rocker switch, upon receipt of a 24 volt dc fire alarm signal the control switch is disabled and the shutter door will either open or close as selected.
